Before importing, confirm that required buffers and images are embedded as data URIs. A .gltf file that points to separate .bin or image files is incomplete when only the .gltf file is selected.
Drapery Reveal
Create a reveal from a GLTF model
GLTF can preserve modern scene and material data, but a browser file picker cannot automatically collect separate buffers and texture files referenced by the model.
No installation · Source model normally stays in your browser · No subscription
Use a self-contained GLTF
Check materials and orientation
Open the file and inspect its geometry, front direction, silhouette, and material response. The editor normalizes the model’s longest dimension for the presentation scene rather than preserving real-world units.
Build and preview the reveal
Frame the model, drape the cloth, and choose a pull direction that clears important details. Review the entire motion and final composition before recording.
When to convert to GLB
Convert to GLB when the GLTF depends on companion files or when you need the most reliable single-file handoff. A conversion should embed the required buffers and textures rather than merely changing the filename.
Questions, answered
Frequently asked questions
Can I select a GLTF and its .bin file together?
No. The current model picker accepts one source model file, so a GLTF should embed the data it needs or be converted to a self-contained GLB.
Why is the model untextured?
The GLTF may reference image files that were not embedded. Check the file references and export a self-contained package before trying again.
