1) Who we are

Drapery Reveal™ (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates draperyreveal.com and related backend services, including the account and payment APIs used by the Site.

2) What the Site does

Drapery Reveal™ is a browser-based tool for creating cloth reveal animations from 3D models. Normal model loading, scene setup, simulation, and export happen in your browser. If you create an account or save a recording to your account, some account, payment, and saved recording data is sent to our backend as described below.

3) Information we collect

  • Account information — first name, last name, email address, account ID, account tier, remaining Pro run credits, and a password hash. We do not store your plain-text password.
  • Payment information — Stripe Checkout session IDs, payment status, purchase type, run count, amount, currency, invoice links, receipt links, payment timestamps, and related account metadata. Payment card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us.
  • Saved recording information — if you save recordings to your account, we may store the recording title/file name, MIME type, file size, thumbnail, rendered video data, duration, download count, timestamps, and scene metadata needed to show the saved recording in your profile.
  • Support and contact information — your name, email address, message, and any files or details you choose to send by email or through the feedback form.
  • Usage and device information — a random browser visitor identifier, session identifier, a one-way hash of IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed, controls used, feature actions, engagement, performance information, client errors, referral/campaign information, and server logs. We do not intentionally send passwords, form-field contents, source model names, or source model contents to our first-party usage event system. When you create an account or sign in, earlier and later activity from that browser may be associated with your account profile using a signed, time-limited identity token.
  • Cookies and browser storage — cookie identifiers, consent or pricing-bucket values, analytics/advertising identifiers, local storage values such as quality settings or local download counters, and session storage values used to keep you signed in during a browser session and resume checkout.

4) 3D files and local processing

When you open a supported model file, it is normally processed locally in your browser for rendering, simulation, and export. We do not intentionally receive or store your source 3D model files as part of normal local use. If you send us a file for support, we use it to respond to your request. If you save a rendered recording to your account, the saved output and related thumbnail/metadata may be stored on our backend so it can appear in your account.

5) How we use information

  • To create and authenticate accounts.
  • To provide Pro credits, record completed purchases, and show transaction history and invoice links.
  • To save, open, rename, delete, and list account recordings.
  • To operate, secure, debug, maintain, and improve the Site and backend services.
  • To respond to support messages and feedback.
  • To measure Site usage and performance.
  • To display, personalize where permitted, limit frequency, and measure advertising.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and security obligations.

6) Stripe and payments

We use Stripe Checkout to process Pro credit purchases. When you start checkout, we send Stripe information needed to create the checkout session, such as your account ID, email address, name, purchase type, run count, amount, and metadata for invoice/payment reconciliation. Stripe may collect payment card data, billing details, device information, fraud signals, and cookies or similar identifiers under its own terms and privacy policy. We receive and store limited payment records from Stripe, such as Checkout session IDs, payment status, amount, currency, invoice URLs, and receipt URLs. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes.

Learn more from Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

7) Third-party services we use

  • Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager — used for site measurement, events, device information, and performance analysis. Learn how Google uses data from sites that use Google services.
  • Google AdSense — used to show ads and measure ad performance. Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers for personalized or non-personalized ads. Manage preferences in Google Ads Settings and see Google’s ad technologies information here.
  • Contact form and backend systems — used to receive, email, store, and respond to support messages and feedback.
  • Hosting and backend providers — used to host the Site, APIs, databases, logs, and related infrastructure.

8) Cookies and browser storage

We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, local storage, and session storage. Some are necessary for the Site to work, while others support analytics, advertising, checkout, fraud prevention, preference storage, or experiments.

  • Site cookies may include dr_consent to remember cookie consent choices and dr_bucket to remember an optional pricing/offer bucket when consent is granted.
  • Session storage may store temporary account state, such as signed-in status, account ID, email, first/last name, Pro run count, pending checkout state, and recording/account association data.
  • Local storage may store UI preferences, such as quality settings, and local counters used by the app.
  • Third-party cookies and identifiers may be used by Google, Stripe, and other providers to provide their services, prevent fraud, measure usage, and support advertising.

You can manage cookies and storage through your browser settings. Our first-party usage event system is disabled by default when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, unless you have explicitly granted analytics consent. Blocking cookies or storage may limit account, checkout, saved-recording, analytics, advertising, or preference features.

9) Sharing and disclosure

We share information with service providers that help us operate the Site, process payments, host data, provide analytics, display ads, prevent fraud, and respond to messages. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your source 3D model files. We do not sell personal information for money, but advertising cookies may be considered “sharing” or targeted advertising under some U.S. privacy laws.

10) Legal bases, rights, and regional disclosures

Where privacy laws such as GDPR/UK GDPR apply, our legal bases may include consent, contract performance, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and fraud/security prevention. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection, and to opt out of certain targeted advertising or sale/sharing activities.

To make a request, contact us at the email below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required for payment, security, legal, tax, accounting, or dispute purposes.

11) Data retention

We keep account information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Saved recordings remain until you delete them, close your account, or we remove them under our policies. Payment and invoice records may be retained as needed for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, chargeback, legal, and business records. Support messages are retained as long as needed to respond and maintain appropriate records. Analytics and advertising partners set their own retention periods.

12) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including password hashing for account passwords. No internet service, browser storage, database, payment integration, or transmission method is guaranteed to be completely secure.

13) Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, or under the age of digital consent where applicable. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.

14) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest version.
